Artesian Salt is all pure and natural salt extracted by evaporation.

The Great Artesian Basin lies deep under Western Queensland, northern New South Wales and north east South Australia.  It is the largest groundwater (underground) basin in the
world.

The Great Artesian Basin’s groundwater was discovered in 1878 when a bore sunk near Tilpa in New South Wales produced flowing water. Water from the Great Artesian Basin continues to be vitally important to outback regions. This water is often the only available supply for towns and for domestic and stock water on properties.

Artesian water brings 150,000 tonnes of salt to the surface each year.
